MISSION OF THE CIDC
The Mission of the Claremont Improvement District Company is to support the existing and future environment through programmes to ensure that the public space is safe, clean, attractive, exciting, entertaining and user-friendly, ensuring that various bodies and authorities meet their responsibilities, assisting wherever possible and thereby protecting and enhancing the existing asset base, attract new investment, tenants and customers.

To make the Claremont Improvement District:

• Safe and clean
• Exciting and entertaining
• Easily accessible
• User-friendly to all
• Attractive to public and private investment sources
• A better place for all

Implementation

The CIDC will seek to implement its Vision, Mission and Goals in terms of the City of Cape Town Improvement District By-Law.

Recognising that the CIDC operates in the public domain in partnership with the City of Cape Town as custodians of its public space to make Claremont a better place for all, its management is committed to:

• Transparency, integrity and impartiality to all its stakeholders
• Accountability by accepting public and committee scrutiny of all its business including audits by a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants, Fisher Hoffman PKF
• The accepted protocols and processes of democratic committee management
